Clark’s pallet trucks’ pull rods are adjustable to maintain proper fork height over the life of the machine and are constructed from steel bar stock for maximum strength and durability. Extreme-duty bronze brushings are used at lift linkage points while spring-loaded stability casters help maintain contact on uneven surfaces. Pallet entry and exit is improved with rollers and tapered sides.
The three-lug design of the elevation brackets of these walkie pallet jacks reduces binding and promotes longer pin and brushing life. All the pivot points are greaseable, and feature steel-backed brushings.
A heavy-duty, welded and formed steel plate makes up the rugged frame of the PWX and HWX walkie pallet trucks, protecting these pallet jacks from impact damage and extending the life of the machine. The forks incorporate formed steel toes and entry and exit rollers for improved pallet handling.
The quiet drive unit on these pallet jacks requires little maintenance thanks to spiral bevel gears that are immersed in an oil bath and sealed in a heavy-duty case. High shock is achieved with the heavy-duty ball bearing while the double acting brakes can be engaged with the handle up or down. When these electric pallet trucks are stopped and the handle released, the parking brake it automatically applied.
The integral pump, motor and reservoir assembly on these pallet jacks do not require a breather cap, eliminating a potential leak site and point where dirt can enter the system.
The AC motor and control of these walkie pallet jacks are fully enclosed to keep dust and contaminants out, making these pallet trucks better suited for food processing and a we environment a non-issue. Advanced thermal protection prevents heat damage to the motor and control.
The electromagnetic brakes on the Clark PWX and HWX series of electric walkie pallet trucks are full enclosed.
These walkie pallet jacks also feature two forms of regenerative braking – change in direction, and throttle release, both of which are proportional to accelerator position.
The Operator’s control is available either in a twist grip or as a thumb-operator control. The toggle switch allows operator’s to choose between a low and high speed range based on the application. Minimal steering effort is needed on the PWX modeled pallet jacks thanks to the low-mounted steer handle, which also increases leverage while the top-mounted handle on the HWX models provide ample foot room on the rider platform.
Thanks to AC technology, the PWX & HWX series of walkie low lift pallet jacks don’t require brushes or commutators. This eliminates associated replacement costs and reduces maintenance needs. This also makes it less likely that the pallet trucks’ motor will burn out during a stall.
